How I met Calista Flockhart
Over the past few years we’ve have quite a few movie premieres (most recently The Bourne Ultimatum). In 1999, a director from Boise, ID named Michael Hoffman brought his film A Midsummer Night’s Dream and with him, Calista Flockhart. The event was put on by the Idaho Shakespeare Festival who was an advertising client of my mom’s, so we were offered tickets (still had to pay) to the meet and greet and premiere of the film. Afterwards, we went back to the Boise Art Museum for the meet and greet and had the chance to meet and have our photo taken with her, which wasn’t open to everyone who came. She was a very nice person, very petite but nothing like everyone had been saying since Ally McBeal had come out.
